Ministry Partnerships
At Northwest, we believe that every Christian is a “ministry somebody” empowered by the Holy Spirit. We love to support the ministry efforts of our church family as we pray, provide financial partnership, and help people know how to get involved.
LeRoy Jacobson
LeRoy Jacobson has reached high school students with the love of Jesus through Youth for Christ for over 40 years (over 20 years locally at Marshall High School)! He and his wife Jackie (who serves on church staff) are a huge blessing to the Northwest family. Learn more at www.sayfc.com

Duane and Sharon Miller, Anglican Frontier Missions
Duane and Sharon Miller have been ministry partners with NWCC for over a decade. After learning Arabic in Jordan they were invited to Nazareth. Nazareth is today the largest Arab city in Israel. So they lived in a Muslim-majority city in a Jewish-majority country! Duane’s main task there was to help get Nazareth Evangelical Theological Seminary up and running, and so there he served as academic dean and lecturer in church history and theology.
During the summer Sharon worked CEF conducting VBS in Arab villages for both Christian and Muslim children. Duane and Sharon enjoyed forming friendships with many local friends, including Muslims and Jews. They really enjoyed talking about their personal faith with their friends and answering their questions about the Christian faith. Once the seminary was up and running they returned to the USA where they have been teaching on Muslim-Christian relations, cultivating relations with the local Arab community, and Sharon has been teaching English to refugees. Duane also travels broadly to provide training about and care for ex-Muslim Christians.
Duane is co-author of Evangelical Arabs in Israel and author of Living among the Breakage: Contextual Theology-making and ex-Muslim Christians. Duane has a PhD in Divinity and Sharon holds a BS in Mathematics, and both have diplomas in Arabic. They have three young children. You can follow Duane’s research and travels at his blog, on Twitter, You Tube, Instagram or at Academia.
Jonathan and Trista Miller, Holsby Bible School and Conference Center
Jonathan and Trista serve with Holsby, a one-year international Bible school and conference center in Sweden. It is a part of the larger network of Torchbearer Bible schools and conference centers worldwide.
- Holsby offers an ideal environment for young people to get to know Jesus and grow in their relationship with him. The Bible school has a nine-month program where students sink their roots deep into God’s Word and encounter Christ alive in the Scriptures. They get to live in the “green house” where they can grow spiritually in a solid Christian community. Among other things, they are challenged as they learn to share their faith through local outreaches and events.
- Along with his involvement in the Bible school program, Jonathan serves as the director of camps and retreats. For five months out of the year, Holsby opens its doors to youth and families with a specific outreach to confirmation groups. In Sweden, many 15-year old’s choose to go through the confirmation process because of traditional/cultural pressure. Camp Holsby gets the golden opportunity of sharing the truth and love of Jesus with groups of young people who would otherwise NOT walk through the doors of a church. Dean and Joan Chollar, Crossway International
Dean and Joan founded Crossway International in 1997 while they were serving as missionaries in Belgium. CrossWay International is a mission organization dedicated to a clear presentation of the gospel of grace.
“We are involved worldwide in teaching personal evangelism through seminars, teaching in Bible colleges and seminaries, evangelistic preaching, and producing evangelistic materials. We also support national workers who share this emphasis and provide support for income-producing projects and critical aid to those in need (including drilling water wells in Africa and Central America) as a platform to presenting the message of Christ.” Please visit the Prayer Calendar for current needs.
