Child Dedication
We believe bringing children before the Lord for dedication is a time honored practice. In the Bible book of 1st Samuel, Hannah dedicates her son Samuel to the Lord, and in the Bible book of Luke, Mary and Joseph bring Jesus to the temple to present Him to God.
We continue this practice of dedicating children before the Lord in our worship services. At a child dedication we ask God to work powerfully in the child’s life, encourage and charge the parents to raise their child in a way that encourages the child’s relationship with Jesus, and the church family also declares her intention to support your efforts to raise your child in a Christ-like manner.
